Activities


In order to ensure you have the most from your visit, we have a timetable of interesting events throughout the day.
These events will vary and may be added to, depending on the animals we have in the Centre
. In addition our keepers will be only too pleased to answer your questions.

Wild DucklingsMeet the Hedgehogs – Learn about their endangered status Birds of Prey – See the owls flying; the keeper will answer your questions Wiz the Weasel – Hear the story of Wiz and watch his acrobatics. Occasionally he may be snoozing. Visit the Acute Care Hospital – for adults and over 11s only. (£1.50 donation ticket per person available from the shop.) You may see baby birds and orphans badger cubs, fox cubs, squirrels, rabbits or hedgehogs being bathed or fed. Watch the Wild Ducklings enjoy their lunch Meet the keeper at the fox hide and watch the cubs enjoy an afternoon snack. Enjoy watching Belle the badger eating her afternoon meal and hear her story. Join the keeper at the Grey Squirrel enclosure (afternoon only).

ButterfliesYou may also wish to sit in the bird hide and watch the wild birds visit our log feeders, enjoy the wild flower garden or watch for butterflies, dragonflies and the many wild birds on the site. Or you may prefer to sit and admire the stunning views.


Guided Tours

We offer guided tours round the centre for groups of 15 plus, but those who prefer to be independent are also welcome.
